With the next ACCA AFM exam just one week away, this is the moment to sharpen your final preparation. Focus on high-impact past exam questions — and give yourself an extra edge by listening to my ACCA AFM podcasts.

Students often ask me which topics deserve the most attention in this crucial final week. That’s exactly why I’ve put together this focused 7-day plan — to help you revise with purpose and confidence.

Start by targeting the areas that worry you most — especially the topics you would least like to see in the exam. A few focused hours now can make a meaningful difference on exam day.

Then prioritise the topics that have appeared most frequently across AFM exams, including unpublished papers.

These three areas are especially worth your attention:

• Investment appraisal, especially FX NPV and APV

• Business valuations, including purchase consideration

• Treasury and risk management, particularly currency risk, which has appeared slightly more often than interest rate risk

You can also use exam tips to guide your final review. I include mine in the two mock exams I wrote, and I shared the topics in an earlier post. Just remember: tips are useful signposts, not guarantees — so use them wisely alongside solid question practice.

Above all, stay calm, stay focused, and make these final seven days count. Create your plan, commit to it, and give yourself the best possible chance of success.
